My Israeli friend Ophir told me a few years ago when we had to say goodbye: "We don't have to say goodbye, it's only a small shalom". Since then, for some reason saying goodbye has become easier. ;-)

Saying goodbye to everyone...
Yesterday I said goodbye to all my colleagues and packed all my books at Tilburg University - literally my whole academic life - in five boxes. Today I will meet some of my friends, have lunch, laugh, drink cappuccino's (I looooooove cappuccino's!) and say goodbye. I am really looking forward to my new adventure in Senegal, but at the same time don't like to say goodbye to the people I love and who are important to me...
